Care Schedule

We begin your care with two one-hour long appointments which include an introduction to our Birth Center, the Midwife Model of Care, your medical history and initial lab work. Clients are then seen every four weeks until 28 weeks of pregnancy, every two weeks until 36 weeks and then every week until the birth. Postpartum visits are done in the family’s home at one and three days and in the clinic at two and six weeks after the baby’s birth. Extra visits may be advised for clients with special circumstances.

Well woman exams are recommended annually unless there are complications, which warrant more regular visits.
